The Winter Park-based Henin Group has completed its acquisition of Silver Lake Woods, a 60-acre residential development site in Leesburg, purchased from Oetjen Family Ltd.
The permitted development includes 85 single-family home sites across 28.6 acres, with 27 acres designated as greenbelt and wetlands. Civil Design Solutions engineered the site plan, featuring lots in varying dimensions—50′ x 130′, 60′ x 130′, and 70′ x 150’—with some positioned on cul-de-sacs and others offering nature and water views.
Jerome Henin, the company’s president, stated the firm is currently soliciting bids for horizontal construction work. He noted that “production homebuilders have expressed interest in Silver Lake Woods,” and the company is evaluating whether to partner with an external builder or proceed with its own Henin Homes division for vertical construction beginning this spring.
Henin indicated the homesites suit residences ranging from 1,500 to 2,500+ square feet, with three to five bedrooms and two to three bathrooms, projected to price between the high-$300,000s and mid-$400,000s.
Located near Jackson Road and Radio Road on Silver Lake’s east side, the community entrance accesses from Radio Road, positioned approximately 25 minutes from downtown Leesburg. Neighboring developments include The Henin Group’s Treasure Trove community and projects by Maronda Homes, Richmond American, and Stanley Martin Homes.
Over the past three years, Henin has acquired 539 residential lots throughout Lake County plus an apartment site in Tavares, demonstrating significant regional investment commitment.
