Henin Holdings LLC, a Winter Park-based subsidiary, purchased a 36-acre parcel for $2.4 million to develop Seaport Village, a single-family community in Tavares off State Road 19 and County Road 561.
The development on Slim Haywood Avenue received county approval for 146 homesites with 60-foot widths. Jerome Henin, CEO of Henin Group, noted the area is experiencing significant growth due to “a new interchange coming at US 441 and SR 46 and completion of the beltway around Central Florida.”
Earlier, Henin received approval for 115 units at Elmwood, a nearby 32-acre property purchased in 2020 for $2 million, where D.R. Horton began construction.
Seaport Village offers proximity to shopping, dining, retail, and an adjacent parcel designated for a public school. Henin stated that residents would “enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the community” with convenient expressway access and short commutes to Orlando.
Site construction is anticipated to begin in the first quarter of 2022. While no homebuilder has been officially selected, Henin received offers from multiple production builders and build-to-rent companies for three- and four-bedroom homes.
Additionally, Henin purchased an adjacent 20 acres planned for approximately 350 apartments.
